Looking for a good beach on the East coast...?
It's for a weekend trip for me and my mom and frankly we just want to relax in the sun on the sand and just tan and take a break from everything. We want a nice sunny beach. Crowds that are not to bad (like we don't want a beach that's so full that you will literally be surrounded by beach chairs everywhere you turn. Also, she is only willing to drive as far as Virginia to delaware and new jersey (we live in Pittsburgh). Basicly she wants to be able to drive to it in about a six hour trip.

Check VIRGINIA BEACH! We have a great strip for tourists right on the beach. All you need to do is walk out your hotel and walk straight on the beach and can walk to multiple restuarants. We have a dolphin cruise where you and your mother can take a peacful boat cruise watching dolphins swim beside your boat. The water is refreshing and we dont have that many shells on the shoreline so it wont be painful to walk around. The Virginia Science Museum is just a short car ride or even a bike ride from the beach. There is an afforable local water park right next door too.

The only bad thing is the Oceana Naval Air Base. But that is one reason why some people come to Virginia Beach. Other then the loud jet noise every once in a while it is pretty cool seeing naval jets flying so low that you can read whatever is on the jet.
